Voice Over IP allows you to place telephone calls over the Internet at dramatically reduced prices.

ePBX (PBX Replacement)

This product allows you replace your old outdated PBX with a modern all digital PBX that makes and receives all its calls over the Internet. Some of the possible savings available are:

• Nationwide calls to landlines only 10c untimed.
• Calls to Mobiles only 17c per min
• International calls from 1.9c per min
• Disconnect expensive Telstra landlines and replace them VoIP lines.

This product is targetted at businesses with at least 3 telephone lines and starts at $41.50 per month. The telephones start at $249 inc GST each.

This is a "hosted" PBX service. Instead of having a box on the wall that connects all your telephone together (and usually costs thousands), all these phones connect directly to engin's servers on the Internet. Each time you place a call, instead of the calll going over a copper line to the telephone exchange, the call is placed over your ADSL connection via engin at greatly reduced rates. In  addition to the cheaper calls, there are many other benefits:

• Easier portability of your phones in your office (just run a network cable)
• Connect Multiple offices together on one PBX (calls become internal)
• Work from home like you are in the office (take your phone with you).
• Easy to add another extension
• More incoming lines (1 per extension)
• Music on Hold
• Automated Attendant ("Press 1 for Sales, 2 for Support" etc) available for a small monthly fee.
• Telephone Numbers from other states available (give your business a national feel).

Hotstart Software can provide all the telephones, network hardware and all installation services. We can provide a service where we visit your office, examine your current phone service (lines, extensions, special equipment etc) and recent telephone bills. Based on this, we can provide you with a complete analysis of your telephone system, the cost to switch to a hosted PBX and an indication of estimated savings. This is a chargeable service (POA), however, this charge is fully rebated against the cost of purchasing the system if you proceed.

engin Hardware and Naked DSL plans

Hotstart Software supplies the complete range of engin Hardware and Naked ADSL2+ plans.

If you already have an ADSL router and want to add VoIP, the Voice Box 3102 (pictured above) just plugs into your existing ADSL connection and provides VoIP access and call rates by using a conventional telephone (wired or cordless).

Using Naked DSL, you can have ADSL2+ on a telephone line without paying a line rental. The line is called Naked because there is no dial-tone. However, the Voice Box plugged into your router (or built in for the oneHub) provides your telephone service. Plans start from $54.95pm for residential and $59.95pm for business. When compared with the $30 line rental on most accounts plus Internet charges, this is exceptional value.
